At Toolguy, a brand owned and operated by ToolGuy Retail Limited, we stand behind the quality and durability of the tools we sell. To ensure our customers can shop with absolute confidence, we provide a 2-Year (24-Month) Limited Warranty on the majority of our products.
1. Scope of the 2-Year Warranty
This warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the warranty period. During these two years, ToolGuy Retail Limited will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of a product that prove defective because of improper manufacturing or faulty materials.
2. Warranty Period
The warranty period for goods purchased from Toolguy is 2 years (730 days) from the date of delivery. A replacement product or part assumes the remaining warranty of the original product from the date of the original purchase.
3. What Is Covered?
- Manufacturing Defects: Faults occurring during the production process that affect the tool's performance.
- Material Failure: Premature breaking or failure of components due to low-quality materials.
- Mechanical Failure: Internal mechanical issues that prevent the tool from operating as intended.
4. What Is NOT Covered? (Exclusions)
This limited warranty does not cover any problem that is caused by:
- Standard Wear and Tear: Gradual deterioration of parts such as blades, brushes, belts, or batteries due to regular use.
- Misuse or Abuse: Damage resulting from improper handling, overloading, or using the tool for tasks it was not designed for.
- Unauthorized Modifications: Any repairs or alterations attempted by a third party or the customer without written consent from Toolguy.
- External Factors: Damage caused by fire, water (immersion), theft, or accidental drops.
- Lack of Maintenance: Failure to clean or lubricate the equipment as instructed in the user manual.
5. The Warranty Claim Process
To obtain warranty service, you must first contact us to determine the problem and the most appropriate solution for you.
- Submit a Request: Email sales@toolguy.ie with your order ID and a clear description of the fault.
- Evidence: Please attach high-resolution photos or a short video demonstrating the issue.
- Inspection: Upon receipt, our technicians will inspect the tool within 5-7 business days.
6. Resolution & Shipping Costs
- Repair/Replacement: If the defect is covered, we will repair the item or provide a brand-new replacement at no cost to you.
- Shipping: The customer is responsible for the initial shipping cost to send the item to our Kilkenny facility. If the warranty claim is approved, we will reimburse the shipping costs and cover the cost of shipping the repaired/replaced item back to you.
7. Consumer Rights in Ireland
This warranty is provided as an additional benefit and does not affect your legal rights as a consumer under the Irish Sale of Goods and Associated Guarantees regulations. You are entitled to a remedy for goods that are not of merchantable quality or fit for purpose

CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION
The warranty period of your Makita tool may be extended to an additional 2 years subject to the following conditions:
- Makita Tools that are CE marked and (with the exceptions of Batteries, Battery Chargers, Accessories, Petrol Powered Products, Production Tools and Air Tools and Compressors) purchased on or after 1st July 2012
- The tool is registered by the end user within 30 days of purchase.
OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY
This guarantee does not apply where:
- Repairs have been made or attempted by others.
- Repairs are required because of normal wear and tear.
- The tool has been abused, misused or improperly maintained.
- Alterations have been made to the tool.
- This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.

Milwaukee power tools come with a 1-year warranty as standard. Milwaukee pride themselves in great products and services therefore are pleased to offer a warranty extension to 3 years when you register your tool within 30 days of purchase.

The guarantee covers all defects of the product during the warranty period due to defaults in workmanship or material at the purchase date. The guarantee is limited to repair and/or replacement and does not include any other obligations including but not limited to incidental or consequential damages. The warranty is not valid if the product has been misused, used contrary to the instruction manual, or being incorrectly connected. This guarantee does not apply to:
- Any damage to the product that is the result of improper maintenance
- Any product that has been altered or modified
- Any product where original identification (trademark, serial number) markings have been defaced, altered or removed
- Any damage caused by non-observance of the instruction manual
- Any product which has been attempted to be repaired by a non-qualified professional or without prior authorization by Techtronic Industries
- Any product connected to improper power supply (amps, voltage, frequency)
- Any damage caused by external influences (water, chemical, physical, shocks) or foreign substances
- Normal wear and tear of spare parts
- Inappropriate use, overloading of the tool
- Use of non-approved accessories or parts
- Components (parts and accessories) subject to natural wear and tear, including but not limited to service & maintenance Kits, carbon brushes, bearings, chuck, SDS drill bit attachment or reception, power cord, auxiliary handle, transport carry case, sanding plate, dust bag, dust exhaust tube, Felt Washers, Impact Wrench Pins & springs, etc.
For servicing, the product must be sent or presented to a Milwaukee authorized service station. When sending a product to a Milwaukee service station, the product should be safely packed without any dangerous contents, marked with sender’s address and accompanied by a short description of the fault.
A repair/replacement under this guarantee is free of charge. It does not constitute an extension or a new start of the guarantee period. In some countries delivery charges or postage will have to be paid by the sender
